Bloom into Kindergarten

Bloom into Kindergarten is a one-week program (3 hours per day) designed to help children build the social, emotional, and practical skills they need for a confident start to kindergarten. The program is led by our experienced Occupational Therapist, Nichole Towers, OTR/L, in collaboration with Shenandoah University. Children will learn through hands-on activities, games, and group experiences to develop and strengthen developmental skills while learning to work with others. We will practice routines like attendance/circle time, lunchtime, specials and bathroom breaks.  While the focus is on playful learning and fun, we will be secretly building your child’s confidence before walking through the doors at their new school!

This camp is designed both for children with identified needs and those looking for a fun way to strengthen skills. Our groups are thoughtfully designed to meet and celebrate our different strengths, interests, and abilities.

We are a socks on-shoes off facility requiring all guests (children & adults) to remove shoes to play. You are welcome to bring your house slippers/indoor shoes to wear while visiting as long as they are only worn indoors. Speak with a member of our team to discuss your child’s specific needs.
